Motor City Camera Club Scavenger Hunt Rules and Guidelines

June 23- June 30 with optional shoot and  Picnic on June 26

· All photographers are welcome to participate

· Subjects for Scavenger Hunt will be posted on www.motorcitycameraclub.com on June 23, 2010

· Photographer can request subjects be emailed to them  at mcccdpd@yahoo.com

· $5.00 entry fee should be mailed to MCCC, c/o 2033 Kaley Ave., Westland, MI  48186. 

· Entry fee must be received by July 1, all images will be eliminated with out entry fee.

Judging and Awards

Each of the 10 subjects will be judged separately and awards will be given to each subject category.

75% of all entry fee money collected will be awarded to the overall ‘Best image” selected by Judges.

June 23 ~ get list of subjects from website or send for list via email at   mcccdpd@yahoo.com

June 23 – June 30 ~ go to Kensington Metro Park  within the 8 days and photograph the 10 subjects.

(photographers will be on their honor!)

June 30 ~ all images for the scavenger hunt are due by midnight.  Any images received after will be rejected.

June 26- Saturday ~ Optional – we will meet at Kensington Park at 8:00am and photograph for 4 hours followed by  

bagged picnic lunch at 12:00pm.

June 26 ~Group shooting with Picnic Lunch

Location:  Kensington Metropark, 2240 W. Buno Rd., Milford, MI 48380
Time: 8:00am to 1:00pm
Where to meet: West Boat Launch (across from Nature center)

· Arrive at 8:00am

· Bring your lunch for picnic lunch at 12:00pm (weather permitting)

· you can receive the list of 10 subjects to photograph while in the Kensington park.

· All 10 subjects must be photographed within the park (All Participants are on their honor)

· We will return to our original meeting spot West Boat Launch at 12:00pm (noon) to enjoy each other’s company and picnic with your bagged lunch that you will bring.

It will need to be pouring to cancel June 26

Image due date: June 30, midnight  All images for this competition must be received by June 30, midnight   Any images received after this time & date will be rejected.  Images will be judged by non-MCCC  & non-participating judges at a later date to be determined

Rules for submitting

· Submit up to ten (10) images,  one (1) of each subject given

· Anything is accepted - this means that you can change or manipulate your image as much or a little as you wish.  However ... ALL elements in the image MUST have been taken at Kensington park  between June 23 & June 30.

· All submission for each subject will be judged together (Creative, Color or Monochrome)

· Same sizing rules for club competitions: Maximum length on any side is 768 pixels and 100 dpi resolution
