GDCCC Board Meeting

Date:  August 24, 2011

Place:  Judy Yaker’s Home

 

Larry Diggs, 1st Vice President, called the meeting to order at 7:35pm.  There were 2 officers, 4 directors and 3 club representatives present.

Officers Reports:

Secretary: Minutes from May 3, 2011 were accepted and recorded.

 

Treasurer’s Report:  Bank balance $8,399.61

 

Director’s Reports:

Prints:  some clubs are still not sending .jpg files of their winning images to Judy Yaker, GDCCC print director.

 

DPD:   the board decided and agreed that WOCC’s missing images from the earlier GDCCC competition can be resubmitted in the next competition.  The second submission into that competition must be from different makers.

 

Web site:  is up and running again.

 

Salon:  in a general discussion, most in attendance agreed that there should be a GDCCC salon.  The current program designed for salon competitions has several glitches.  One is a naming problem & the second is a sizing problem.  A conference call was made to Mike Lillis.  He explained the problems in greater detail and advised that it would require a flash programmer to correct the problems. He also advised that it would take 4 - 5 people to handle the salon. It will take approval & Authorizations, checking images for payments and correctness, nature & wildlife images meet requirements, downloading, up-loading after judging, posting of info, prepare hardcopy catalog, and  burn & mail CDs

 

Another short discussion on whether GDCCC could use PhotoClubService.com for salon.  Larry said he would discuss it with Mike Florian.

 

Old Business: 

Emergency Notice Listing  Bev Wolf still handling.

 

PhotoClubService.com -  clubs that are currently using it:  Oakland, Livonia, Motor City, Grosse Pte,

& 7 Ponds    It should be reviewed as to whether GDCCC could use it for the competitions
