President, Mike Florian, called the meeting to order at 7:40pm. There were 3 officers, 3 directors and 4 club representatives present.

HANDOUTS:

OFFICERS REPORTS:
Secretary: Minutes from Aug. 24, 2011 were accepted as recorded.
Treasurer’s Report: Bank balance approx. $7,800.
DIRECTOR’S REPORTS:
Prints: Clubs sending digital images of their prints to Judy is improving. Year-end judging to be held at OCC, November 8, at 10:30am.
DPD: Selection of digital judges near completion.
Web site: Not all competition results have been posted on website; also need to post the current Minutes; the 2009 Salon info should be deleted, as well as any other old information? It was suggested that a second person be selected to also update the website.
SALON: To resolve the remaining GDCCC Salon “glitches,” Mike Florian, Mike Lilllis and Judy met with the owner of HG Merc. Studio, Zachary Ball. Some monies have been made to them for their services but issues still need to be addressed. We were advised a new application form should be submitted and to expect an approximate six-month turn-around.
BANQUET: PhotoGuild will host next banquet on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Burton Manor in Livonia. (Tickets had the wrong date printed and should be changed from January 29 to January 28.) Year-end judges will be given a free ticket each. It would be greatly appreciated if clubs could again donate anything toward door prizes. Contact Mike Lillis.
OLD BUSINESS:
Emergency Notice Listing: Mike Florian distributed List to those clubs present to update. Input still needed from Livonia and Grosse Pointe.

PhotoClubServices: Judy and Mike Florian tested the progam for possible use for Council competitions. Dennis will create email addresses for each club and asked that digital entries submitted should be grouped by each class in separate emails. A dummy run, of course, will be needed before it can be finalized.
NEW BUSINESS:
2012 Competition Schedule: Judy to work with Bev to prepare draft for next year's schedule. Should be completed before end of December so clubs can prepare their own agendas for the new year. Clubs should also contact Judy/Bev for their “preferred” dates. Club Presidents need to get with their respective directors and respond back as soon as possible.
Council Dues: A motion was made to fore-go club dues for 2012. Motion was seconded and approved.
Nominations for Honors: Larry emailed information to all the clubs for any nominations which will be awarded at the banquet. Deadline is November 19, 2011 and can be forwarded to Larry at picthis4u@yahoo.com.
Officer Nominations: New Directors-at-Large, Doug Locke & Jim Campbell, were elected, as well as Joann Snavley for Secretary. Bev Wolf was not in attendance for re-election consideration. Mike Florian to contact Bev.
