Old Business:
• DISP Digital PSA Salon:
- Mike Lillis advised everything is ready to mail. Just needs postage and custom forms filled out. In the future, a mailing committee should be formed. Bev has offered to do the mailing for this year. Approximately 250-300 will be mailed out.
• Bad Weather Plan:
- Mike Florian will email the latest version of the “bad weather emergency phone call list.”
• 2009 Competition Schedule has been finalized and distributed.
New Business:
• Banquet: Mike Florian needs print racks from West Oakland. Also, Bill Buchanan should be notified to bring the projection screen, as well as follow up with him on door prizes.
Mike needs final count by Thursday. A suggestion was made to change the 50/50 raffle to 50/30/20 to create more interest. The entire amount will be raffled off and GDCCC will forego any of the proceeds.
• Panoramic Images: Ken Schang submitted a proposal allowing stitched panoramic images in Color General. Motion was seconded and approved. The approved change will now read as follows: “Stitched panoramic images are allowed in Nature & Color General.”
• Distribution of GDCCC Treasury Monies: A proposal was presented to award each club that currently participates in Council $1,000 from the GDCCC treasury. Those clubs that do not need the money could use it to eliminate their dues for one year, or for any other function beneficial to their club. Another suggestion was the treasury money could be used to create a judging software program that would be very helpful and distributed to the clubs. Mike Lillis will provide further information on its cost. Tabled for further discussion.
