MEETING

President, Mike Florian, called the meeting to order at 7:40pm. There were four officers, five directors, and five club representatives present:

Report:
• Secretary: Minutes from the November 11, 2009 meeting were accepted as
recorded. However, one correction was made for PayPal. Balance was not known at that time.
Treasurer: Current treasury
balance: approx. $10,000.
PayPal
balance: $1,249; ($2,068 paid to Mike
Lillis for Salon expenses).
Grand Total $11,249
Directors’ Report:
• Prints: Judy reminded folks to properly place the corner labels for banquet prints on the upper right-hand corner.
• Color/Nature slides: See “old business.”
• Digital Projection: All done for EOY.
• Website: Dennis still working on updating the website.
• Digital PSA status: Mike Lillis distributed CD's of Salon winners. Winners are on website and Mike would like to display them as a slide show. He also asked that more volunteers will be needed to help out for the next Salon...preferably one from each club. Mike will compile a list of the necessary duties.
Old
Business:
• Projector: Because the FX60 Canon projector is still back-ordered, Dennis will look into possibly purchasing the FX80 which could run a little more money. Will check with B&H and Hunt's Photo.
• Banquet: After lengthy questions by Larry regarding setting everything up, all is OK for Saturday night. Larry reported 135 attending and 14 requests for camera cleaning. However, another reminder will be sent to all the club. A total of 23 prizes were donated.
• One-time EOY Color/Nature Slides: Slides submitted were very old and not in good condition. 95% of entries were from the Photoguild Club and few clubs entered. Both Directors felt it was not worth continuing. A motion was made, seconded, and approved to “discontinue the One-Time EOY slide competition for 2010” and will be announced at the banquet.
• Print Division Proposal: It was decided that the Print proposal submitted at the Nov. 11 meeting to combine the Salon & Star classes, be tabled for later in 2010.
• Digital Division Proposal: The proposal to combine Salon & Star into Advanced is also tabled for later in 2010.
• Cancellation Notification Listing: Mike Floria distributed list for all the clubs to update and will be re-distributed.
• FIAP Membership: Mike Lillis reported nothing done yet and to forget it for now.
• 2010
Competition Schedule: Schedule was
distributed and finalized.
NEW
BUSINESS:
• Salon: Mike Lillis suggested purchasing a $200
dymo-label printer.
• GDCCC
Competition Rules: There have been
some discrepancies regarding the competition Rules and what images are eligible to
“cross-over” into other Divisions.
Further discussion is needed and perhaps the Rules should be revised.
