Minutes:            GDCCC GENERAL BOARD MEETING

Date:                April 24, 2007

Meeting Place:  Judy Yaker’s home

 

Anita Weiner called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm. There were 4 officers, 6 directors, and 5 representatives present.

 

Handouts:

·         Minutes from March 12, 2007 meeting

 

Officers’ Report:

·         Secretary:   Minutes from the March 12, 2007 meeting were accepted and approved.

·         Treasurer:    Current balance is $13, 596.03.

 

Directors’ Report:

·         Prints:

The next competition is Thursday, May 17 at Livonia.  Livonia recently moved to McKinley Elementary School, north of Joy on Hillcrest…. Check the GDCCC website for directions and a map.

·         Color Slide:

The next competition is May 9th at Motor City.

·         Nature Slides:

The next competition is May 9th at Motor City.

·         Digital Projection:

The next competition is Thursday, May 24th at West Oakland (entry deadline is 05/17/07).  At the last competition Dennis inadvertently missed the Color Creative entries from West Oakland.  Those entries will be added to one of the competitions next fall.

·         Web site:

Dennis is working on a program for file uploads for competitions.

 

Old Business:

·         Salon: Letters were sent to club presidents about medal sponsorship.

·         Digital Salon: Bill Buchanan did not demonstrate virtual Salon judging tonight.

 

New Business:

·         Linda Henderson resigned from the 1st Vice-President office.  Larry Diggs volunteered to replace her and was accepted.

·         The date for the GDCCC EOY 2007 Banquet has been moved to January 12, 2008.

 

Next meeting: Wednesday, June 6, 2007 (at Judy Yaker’s home).
