Handouts:

 Minutes from Feb. 28, 2011 meeting;  meeting Agenda;

Officers Reports:

 Secretary:  Minutes from Feb, 28, 2011 were accepted as recorded.   However, under New Business, a better clarification of the newly passed print rule is as follows:  “A vote to allow the same image to be eligible for both monochrome and color print divisions was passed.”

Treasurer's Report:   Current balance $8,408.

 Director's Reports:

 Prints:  Some clubs still have not responded to sending .jpg files of their winning prints to Judy, GDCCC Director.  She again is asking clubs to submit these images which is intended for record purposes only.  An official statement will be added to the print rules which Mike will forward to all the clubs for final approval.   Next print competition May 19 at Livonia.

DPD:      The April 12 digital competition at Windsor has been rescheduled for June 14.

Web Status:  Dennis was asked to add Seven Ponds to Council’s home page.  The new rule for Color General should also be posted on the website.

Salon:            Mike Florian obtained disks from Mike Lillis which contained backup files for the International Salon.  However, since the files cannot be edited for use, Mike Florian and Bill Buchanan will meet with Mike Lillis to discuss the situation.  There are a few unanswered questions and the decision remains whether the program can be used for future Salons.

                                                                             - 2 -

Old Business:

Tamron Programs:  Doug Locke still has not heard back yet from Tamron regarding their programs.

Emergency Notice Listing:  Bev to complete the listing by fall.

Increase Digital Entries:   Discussions still ongoing whether to increase the number of entries.  Because of an added club (Seven Ponds), which could extend the competitions to even later than 10:00pm, a final decision cannot be made at this time.  More discussion is needed.

New Business:

Future of Current GDCCC website:   Council to look further into the matter by the end of the year.

PhotoClubServices:   Mike Florian will explore the possibilities of GDCCC utilizing their services.

 Meeting adjourned at 9:05pm.

Next meeting August 24 (Wed.), 2011 at Judy Yaker's Home.
