Newsletter: The next issue will be mailed mid-August.
Web Site: We have received a paid
advertisement from F-Stop Camera Shop to run for two months at $25/month.
F-Stop is closing in August.
2001 International Salon: Entries have
started to come in. There have been fewer requests for entry forms this year,
possibly due to foreign mail going out first class instead of surface as in
previous years.
Old Business:
Darrell Gulin: The seminar is set for May 18 & 19, 2002. Judy and Anita have been working on location and preliminary details.
o Anita spoke with George at Adray's about a joint venture between Adray's and GDCCC. Adray's is interested in helping at some level but has not yet made a formal commitment. George (Adray manager) may be able to help us secure the Adray Auditorium at Henry Ford Community College. Adray also wants to sell tickets and may be willing to share their mailing list, pay postage for flyers, and put information on their web site. We are not asking them for monetary donations, but are hopeful for the donation of door prizes.
o Contacts with Kodak regarding sponsorship have been unsuccessful. Kodak no longer sponsors seminars.
o Fliers for the seminar should go out in early winter. We also need them available at the year-end banquet, at photography stores and for each club to distribute at meetings.
o Anita and Judy will continue to work through the summer to secure a location and firm up details.
Adray Expo: Bill brought all the supplies back from the expo. Jim thought the show was slow this year and had fewer in attendance. Info sheets submitted by expo visitors were distributed to clubs represented, Bill will mail the rest to Photo Guild, Livonia, Shutterbug, Avon, Oakwood and Grosse Pointe. Bill also suggested we investigate the purchase of a new banner as the current one is out-of-date and looking very worn. Bill will rough out a new one and send it to Skip to get bids.

Next meeting: Tuesday, September 11th at
7:30 p.m. for Board Officers, Directors, Club Presidents and Representatives.
Meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Diane Kroll, GDCCC Secretary
