Old Business:
o Photoshop study group – Northwest Activity Center is city owned and is not available for use by outside groups. We are trying to determine different possibilities. Bill Buchanan is working on some problems with current programs. Adobe Photoshop Album is a possibility as a simple program for creating slide shows. Smooth Show is another possible program that is simple to use. Interactive Photoshop CDs at both the beginning and advanced levels could be made available to the group. There is a possibility that the Training room at Camera Mart could be utilized for classes. Alex Lane will verify dates.
o David Middleton – a Flyer was designed to develop ideas for creating a final flyer for a presentation he is expected to make in our area December 6, 2003. Space has been made available at Oakwood Hospital and tickets are tentatively set for $20.00 prepaid and $25.00 at the door. David is the author of 2 new books “The Nature of Vermont” and “Photographers Guide to Vermont” and should present some great ideas for improving our photographic skills.
o International Salon – is proceeding smoothly. It is a little down on nature prints. They are looking for some additional help.
New Business:
· End of Year Banquet – Photoguild will be hosting this year’s banquet to be held January 24, 2004 at St. John’s Armenian Church Banquet Center, 22001 Northwest Hwy, Southfield, MI. The evening will include Hors d’oeuvres, a Punch bowl, sit down dinner served family style and dessert. The menu still needs to be finalized. The cost should be $26.00 per person. Special Invitees need to be contacted with RSVP and Pat Coleman who is handling the details needs the list of donated door prizes from last year. Tickets should be available by November 1st.
·
PSA Announcements – A software program for the
virtual salon is now available. We will
be discussing the possibility.
Andy
Wims, Executive VP PSA has been awarded his Associateship.
· Of Interest for Clubs – The Stereo Club of Detroit has an excellent presentation available utilizing slides entirely from Michigan. It includes some historical as well as viewmaster slides and is well worth your time.

Meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Kathy Bolio, GDCCC Secretary
