Officers Reports:

Secretary: June 2, 2010 Minutes were accepted after incorporating corrections, Digital Projection:, is corrected to read, Next DPD competition date has been changed to September 20, in lieu of September 2. The Section, Detroit International Salon 2010, Entry Size, is corrected to read 350kb in lieu of mb.

Treasurer: Anita Weiner reported as of 9/16/10 there is $8,349.88 in treasury and there is approximately $1,700. in the PayPal account.

Director’s Reports:

Print: November 1, 2010 is the last Print Competition for this 2010 season. All EOY entries will be due on that date. The EOY competition will be on the following Tuesday, November 2.

DPD: everything is OK, nothing to report

Web: Dennis Sauve reports that the website is not up to date at this moment but work is on going.

Susan Browne asked why there is no phone contact on the site anywhere. It was advised that no one

really want to risk having their phone number posted. Dennis advised that he could create an email

(executive@GDCCC.org) and would be linked to all officers. Susan suggested a password requirement

on the website that would have all GDCCC officers and club presidents phone numbers.

Judy requested that all clubs send her the phone numbers & email addresses of there presidents and

directors.

Old Business:

Adam Jones program Sept 11: Approximately 100 people attended and the program seem to receive positive comments. Very little money was made by GDCCC but it was not the intention for GDCCC to make money but to put on a program.

Color Creative Rules & Color General Rules: Mike Florian started a discussion regarding rules about removing major elements versus minor elements. Judy Yaker suggested that the rules need to be reconsidered and updated so Creative Color images represent “Altered Reality” and Color General accepts images that are or are not manipulated, as long as the image reflects reality. Most members agreed with the basic concept. It was also mentioned that in Creative Color many judges look for the creative aspects of the image and actually maybe scoring images down if the creative aspects are not obvious. Mike Florian will write a proposal with correct wording to reflect the thoughts and suggestions of the board to be presented for a vote at the next GDCCC board meeting.

International Salon: Mike Lillis absent

New Business:

Banquet: Susan Browne reported that MCCC have reserved the American Polish Cultural Center in Troy on January 22. It will be buffet with cash bar. Tickets will be $30.00 MCCC will have programs & tickets printed.

Adobe Lightroom 3 Presentation will be on November 13, Saturday, Bill Buchannan will be conducting the program, he has been working with Adobe. Adobe has provided him with Lightroom 3, kit and there will be many Adobe raffles. The program will be at 24350 Civic Center Dr, Southfield, MI, 48033 where the Photographic Guild meetings are held. The program will be open to all GDCCC Club members.

Bill suggests that members download the free trail provided by adobe.

New Club Membership:

Dennis Kelly, President & Sandy Gorney, V-President of the Seven Ponds Nature Center Photography Club were in attendance. They started the new SPNCPC 4 months ago and now have about 25 members. They would like to become a GDCCC member club later this year when they are in full running. They were there to meeting everyone and gather information.

Election of Officers and reviewing Nominations for Fellows & Associated will be at the next meeting.

Next GDCCC meeting Wednesday November 3 at Judy’s home.
