President Mike Florian called the meeting to order at 7:34 pm. There were 5 officers, 6 directors, and 1 representatives present.

Officers’ Report:

·         Secretary:   Minutes from the August 30, 2007 meeting were accepted and approved.

·         Treasurer:    $14,689.67 – no checks from CS Salon, yet.

 

Directors’ Report:

·         Prints:

The next competition is November 5 at Pontiac.  Judging starts at 8:00 PM.  End-of-year judging will be the next day, 11/06/07, at Pontiac at 1:00 PM.

·         Color Slide:

The next competition is November 12, 2007 at Toledo.  Judging starts at 7:30 PM.

·         Nature Slides:

The next competition is November 12, 2007 at Toledo.  Judging starts at 7:30 PM.

·         Digital Projection:

All 6 competitions are done for 2007.  EOY judging will be sometime in late November.

·         Web site:

Dennis is behind on putting the shows to the web site.  The honorees from 2006 need to be added to the web site.

 

Old Business:

·         Salon: DISP – Ron working on PSA accreditation for 2008.

·         Banquet: January 12, 2008.  Cost will be about $28.50, so charge $30 both U.S and Canadian.

-          A motion to charge $25 and have GDCCC pay the balance was approved.

-          Clubs – Please try to get a count of those planning to attend ASAP.

-          The End-of-Year banquet is on the web site with a link to the banquet hall and a map.

·         Honors for 2007 – Larry needs to send the forms to the clubs and we need them back to Larry by December 4th.

·         Digital PSA Salon – April 19, 2008

-          Dennis is working on a new tool to register and upload files.  If the file transfer program doesn’t work, our fall-back will be to just email in entries as attachment files.

-          We’ve received PSA approval for CG and MG.  We’re waiting for NA approval.

-          It takes about 2 months to get a notice in the PSA Journal…

·         Schedule for 2008 – Anita needs input from the directors and clubs.

·         2¼ Slides – KAPUT!!  There was only 1 response to Joann for an End-of-Year competition, so the 2¼ Slide Division has been officially dissolved.

·         After some discussion about the shrinking numbers for Color Slides and Nature Slides, it was agreed not to merge Salon and Star classes for each, yet, and not to merge DP and Slides, yet.  We’ll see how 2008 goes and maybe discuss it again for 2009.

·         Stereo – The DISP Stereo Division needs clubs and dates to show the 2008 winners.  (Rules say winners of each DISP division must be shown to at least 2 groups.)

·         We need DISP labels printed and we need volunteers to help mail the catalogs by 11/17/2007.
