Business:
·
2007 competition schedule: Anita circulated the final competition schedule with a

their competitions for Prints & Digital start at 7:30pm because of time

·

Oakland) – Banquet will be held January 27th at Corsi’s
Restaurant on
·
Digital Salon:
Art asked Dennis how close we are to having a Digital Salon. Dennis advised work is almost in place and
could be implemented soon. Bill Buchanan
suggested a possible software (by Loraine DeHosse) to
be used for the Salon and will demonstrate the program at the next
meeting. Dennis is contemplating
handling the Digital Salon
New Business:
·
Digital Division: Dennis presented a motion to change the name of the newly formed
“Creative/Manipulated/ Digital Art” division to “Color Creative.” Motion was seconded and approved.
·
Salon: Ron Genaw discussed an issue brought up by Lynn Maniscalco, Director of the Stereo Division. She would like a more definitive explanation
of the Best Stereolusion medal award. Council suggested that it be labeled “trick”
photography and to Email the definition to her.
·
Rules: An issue was brought to Council’s attention
by Bill Buchanan regarding the voting on proposals. He felt insufficient time had elapsed between
the initial proposals and the final vote regarding the new Digital Division
rules. He felt that the Constitution
states proposals require two council meetings before a final vote, however it
was explained that those rules do not come under the Constitution guidelines
and that Rules for Interclub Competitions can be adopted by a vote of the Board
at a “regular” meeting.
Next
meeting: Thursday, February 1, 2007 (at Judy Yaker’s home).
Meeting
adjourned at 9:30 pm.
Respectfully
submitted,
Joann Snavley (in absence of John Kroll)
